E3 2016: Bethesda Softworks Conference

Second conference of this year’s E3. Bethesda Softworks opened up with a surprise announcement: Quake Champions. This is a PC exclusive game with unlock frame rates and designed for ESports. The game will feature a variety of unique characters with unique styles. More about Quake Champions will be announced at QuakeCon in August.

 

Bethesda followed this announcement with highlights from the last year on their various games and launches. They also gave more details on The Elder Scrolls: Legends, a card game coming to PC, Mac, iOS and Android. Beta sign up is also now available at https://legends.bethesda.net.

 

If you have not heard yet, you will be happy to know that Fallout 4 is getting more DLCs! Three more DLCs releasing in June, July and August 2016 with some quite interesting features. The third DLC called Nuka-World will also be the last DLC of Fallout 4 and will be massive. Fallout Shelter, the mobile game, is also getting some more content and is coming to PC. Some more announcements that came at the same time is about Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is being remastered with a special edition and will come to PS4 and XBO. For those owning the game on PC, the remastered version will be free. It is releasing on October 28th 2016.

 

From the developers of Dishonored, Arkane Studios, comes a game called Prey and seems to be unrelated to a previous game of the same name.  Prey is set in the future on a huge space station. The game will be released next year on PC, PS4 and XBO. More details to come at QuakeCon.

 

Doom will see new content coming in the next few months. This will include free content for both snapmap, the map creator, and multiplayer maps and modes. A premium DLC will also be released with new maps for multiplayer as well as other features.

 

If you are playing The Elder Scrolls Online on console, you will be happy to hear that the Dark Brotherhood DLC is coming to PS4 and XBO this Tuesday. The game has also reached over 7 million players and will launch in Japan on June 23rd.  The game will receive a massive update called One Tamariel which will make your character match the level of the content you will be playing.

 

Last but not least, we got to see some more of Dishonored 2 with the first game play trailer. The game will be released on November 11th 2016 on PC, PS4 and XBO. This game will also have a very limited collector edition featuring Corvo’s mask.
